LIMA는 하와이어로 '손'의 뜻을 가진 단어입니다. 원석, 은, 실크를 주요 소재로 하여 수공예의 유산과 결합된 LIMA의 독창적 미학을 담아냅니다.

LIMA is a Hawaiian word that means “hand.” Using gemstones, silver, and silk as its main materials, it embodies LIMA’s unique aesthetic, combined with the heritage of handcrafted work.

수 세대를 이어오는 예술과 장인 정신의 요소들이 반영된 LIMA의 컬렉션은 여러 지역에 위치한 아틀리에 장인들의 고도로 숙련된 섬세한 수공예 작업을 기반으로 완성됩니다. 우리의 작업물은 자연의 소재에서 영감을 받아 구체화되어 아름다운 대칭과 비대칭을 이루고 있습니다.

LIMA’s collection preserves elements of art and craftsmanship passed down through generations. It is completed based on the highly skilled, delicate handcrafted work of artisans at ateliers located in various regions. Our works are conceived and realized from the materials of nature, forming beautiful symmetries and asymmetries.

고유함이 간직된 내면의 작업물을 꺼내어 전하고자 합니다. 꺼내어진 형체가 받는 분에게 흘러 보이지 않는 끈이 연결되고 일상의 아름다움으로써 비로소 완성되는 것. 이 영감의 경로를 공유하는 것이 우리가 가장 소중하게 생각하는 것입니다.

I want to bring forth and present the inner works that retain their uniqueness. Sharing this inspiration’s path is what we value most. 

패션 디자인을 전공하고 여성복 디자이너, 바이어로 경험을 쌓았습니다. 어떤 시점에 하게 된 경험에서 아시아와 유럽 등지의 아틀리에를 탐험하며 공예가들과 유대를 맺게 되었고 고대의 수공예 기술이 현재까지도 이어지고 있는 신비로운 향연에 깊이 매료되었습니다. 마치 아름다운 혼돈 속에서 감도는 특별한 선율과 같은 이 생경한 느낌은 저에게 이 아름다움을 전하고 싶다는 새로운 에너지를 주었습니다. '섬세한 미학과 깊은 개인적 의미의 결합' 의 철학을 가지고 LIMA를 설립하게 되었습니다. 

I majored in fashion design and gained experience as a women’s wear designer and buyer. Through an experience I had at some point, I explored ateliers across Asia and Europe, formed a bond with artisans, and became deeply fascinated by the mysterious spectacle of ancient handcraft techniques still being carried on today. This unfamiliar feeling, like a special melody resonating through beautiful chaos, gave me new energy to want to convey this beauty.
